We were proud to have received an invitation to attend Roy & Lea Black's Consequences Gala this year at the exclusive Fontainebleau Resort in Miami Beach, and WOW, what an event!

From the Black's website:

The Consequences Charity is dedicated to reducing adolescent criminal behavior and supporting communities with proactive intervention programs that promote lasting change by impacting the lives of vulnerable youth and their families In pursuit of this goal, this charity funds scholarships and makes grants that help organizations fashion more innovative, cost-effective responses to these needs.

We were received into a grand room with a fabulous drink service surrounded by auction items that have become part of the Black's signature event.  Part of the method of raising money for the Consequences Charity is an auction event where guests bid on various goods and services donated by hosts for the benefit of the charity.  Peter Max paintings, Britto items, Grey Goose accessories, and Helio Castronieves race gloves were just a small selection of the items available for auction.

Florida Governor Charlie Crist was in attendance, as well as other big names:  Ms. Florida Teresa Wakefield, Elaine Lancaster, Helio Castronieves, Natalie Cole, DJ Entice of 99Jamz WEDR (who we sat and enjoyed dinner with at our table, by the way!), just to name a few.
